These 2 unlikely looking trees gave TheTreeApp team a surge of joy!
They are both Wild-plums, Harpephyllum caffrum, that were probably planted about 25 years ago along The Vlei in Solar Beach Plettenberg Bay. The devastating fire in June 2017 burnt them to what looked like death; but luckily the human power-in-charge had the sense to leave their charred bodies standing. And now 2,5 years later the scorched limbs have encouraged amazingly vibrant new growth within their protection. Awesome.
The birds love them too.
